Greetings, my name is Daniel. I’m New Zealand (NZ) born. However, I lived and studied in both NZ and Australia. I have a mix of British and American education. My parents hail from America but reside in New Zealand permanently. I have family in Britain, Australia, America, Italy and Scotland.
My professional work as a young man, began in small component engineering. Then it progressed into other fields of work that caught my interest along the way, such as the following: small business management, teaching in private and public sectors, business administration, education curriculum initiator, a police liaison officer, mental health specialist, and a government health analyst.
I sojourned to China in 2004 for a short vacation – or, so I thought at the time. However, I fell in love with this place, so I made the decision to stay and teach. I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to see more of China and make new friends. Additionally, to observe first-hand, the education system in China. During my time here, I was honored to teach in many public schools and private IELTS training institutes in Zhengzhou. In a sense, this city has grown on me and has become like a home. Thus, my reason for not going to more affluent or wealthy cities like Beijing or Shanghai.
I began my teaching role with United University of Foreign Language (UUFL) this year in September 2009. So far, I am intrigued by the professionalism, great skill and the expertise that all staff portray. The students display a clear aptitude and audaciousness with their English studies. Therefore, creating a bright future in time to come. Lots of planning occurs at this training centre. Brilliant!
I like the following expression: “Anyone who fails to plan plans to fail!” By Milton C. Jordan, Sr.If you would like to communicate with me or leave messages, my blog address at UUFL is:
